This goes out to summer. Not to the general idea of a 3-month-long party where happiness is always around the corner, but rather what summer actually is: another period of our experience as people. The seasons don't really change our lives that much if you think about it. What we experience in summer can happen any time of the year. Elation, anger, and sadness (among other things) have no season. They go on all year long.

These songs by (some) members of Amblis Records, Tshunie Records, and other friends from the internet represent what someone might put on their soundtrack for the actual summer. A nice blending of tracks with different moods and styles. Though they might sound like a bunch of disjointed and random songs, we feel like these tracks fit summer better than a compilation of a bunch of turn up songs.

Summer can throw a lot of different experiences at you and some of these songs can be a pretty good backdrop for those experiences. So take a listen and see if these tracks could be your Sounds of Summer.
